The Food and Agriculture Organization predicts that the world’s agricultural sector will need to produce 60% more food than is necessary to feed that size population by 2050, when it is predicted that there will be 9.3 billion people on the planet. This objective can be achieved through increasing efficiency, lowering waste, and reducing breakage in every stage of manufacturing and conveying. Waste may be decreased and product integrity preserved with the right conveying equipment.
